Update 2/3/2007... Due to illness and injuries, the Down Home Friends have had to regretfully cancel performances until further notice. We have found that setting up for and doing the performances has exceeded our physical capabilities.
Update 3/22/2008... After lots of prayer, we've decided to put our puppet theater up for sale...... If you'd be interested in all or part of our puppets (except for the possum and skunk - they're part of the family) and set, including lights and sound equipment, let me know. So what else is happening? It seems that anytime a door is closed, God opens a window. Going through that window, we found an opportunity within the 18th century reenacting (living history) community. With God's help, we are able to make historical presentations about Christianity in America during the 1700s. These presentations include preaching excerpts of the actual sermons from men like Whitfield, Wesley, Edwards, and Logan. See: www.parsonjohn.com
